How to Sort Your Laundry
Sorting is the single easiest way to protect your clothes and avoid surprises like pink socks or shrunken sweaters. A few minutes up front saves you from faded colors and worn-out fabric down the line.
Separate by color
Split your laundry into whites, lights, and darks. New and brightly dyed items can bleed during the first few washes, so keep bold reds, blues, and blacks away from anything pale until you know they’re colorfast.
Sort by fabric and weight
Heavy items like towels, jeans, and bedding should be washed separately from lightweight shirts and delicates. Mixing them creates uneven wear and longer dry times. Turn graphic tees and dark denim inside out to keep prints and colors looking new.
