Drying Tips for Longer-Lasting Clothes
The dryer is where a lot of clothing damage quietly happens. Too much heat and too long a cycle break down fibers, fade colors, and shrink your favorite pieces. A smarter approach keeps clothes looking new for years.
Match the heat to the fabric
Use low or medium heat for most everyday clothing, and save high heat for towels, sheets, and sturdy cottons. Knits, activewear, and anything with elastic last far longer on a gentle cycle. When in doubt, lower heat is always the safer choice.
Don’t over-dry
Pulling clothes out while they’re still slightly damp reduces wrinkles and static and prevents fibers from becoming brittle. Hang or fold items right away to keep them smooth. For delicate pieces, lay them flat to air-dry instead of tumbling.
Our large-capacity dryers spread heat evenly so loads finish faster and more gently. Clean a folding table is always close by, so your laundry goes straight from dryer to neatly folded.
